I'll take pleasant quirkiness over perfection...
"My love's more richer than my tongue" (King Lear). Shakespeare ought to be glad he never had to describe himself for a dating profile. So I'll get on with it... It's been theorized I was born with an overabundance of personality and then stumbled upon more in wandering this ball of dust. Along with a plethora of personality, I was fortunate with an temperament, which is really just an overindulgent way of saying: I think deeply, feel broadly, love widely, laugh regularly, and banter a mite bit too much. Many of my better qualities are quite contradictory, and many people have said they've never met anyone else like me. I choose to take that as a compliment. Regardless, I learn something new every day, talk about semi-interesting and obscure things, laugh at myself constantly. I enjoy affection for art, music, film, literature, and play well with and adults. I'll take board over video , a big, fat book over magazines, and silence over obnoxious media chatter. I love the challenge of to a place where they speak a different language. Occasionally knocked off balance, I find in 6- runs, black coffee, and chocolate. I love nature and outdoor activities (notwithstanding acute snake phobia) - hiking, biking, and swimming in places other than pools. Move easily from left to right brain? Sure, though I still have to SAY the alphabet to remember it. Teach me a new word, then use it in a sentence and I'm tickled. I'm not ticklish, I don't know why! I am one to say what I mean, then do what I say. But that presupposes I can remember what I said. If you can track my circuitous , put me back on course, then indeed I am a man of my word. I mostly just try to better others lives and my own as well, when doing so doesn't infringe upon the well being of the rest of humankind. Finally - I am NOT perfect and proud of it. Imperfections make us. Oh, and lastly - I'm here because I know you're out there and I give everything I do my best shot! About my match? At the risk of sounding de fromage, but how to answer this question without resorting to beaches and walks and sunsets, and other such platitudes? For starters, I don't like to create unnecessary expectations; it's just that connection, that special thing, that defies all lists of attributes and qualities and desires and check marked boxes. With that said, I'm partial to people whose joie de vivre outweighs their existential angst, who have a sense of connection with the rest of the world, whose political and social thinking angles leftward; and, who give generously, argue passionately, laugh loudly, and insist on seeing the glass as half full. I am looking for that someone who will not cringe at my goofiness and will appreciate my serious side. She will be passionate about life and is not half-hearted in her endeavors. She thinks in color and wants to try new things but not the mundane. Someone uncommonly kind, generous, funny, and smart, who also considers herself sensitive, curious, and attentive. And somehow, she manages to spare people's feelings while finding a way to be totally straight-arrowed. She appreciates both high and pop culture; who is both traveled and sophisticated but also open to learning something new every day; marching to her own drum with both grace and aplomb. Perhaps most importantly, you want a relationship in which you are not subordinate, not dominant, not identical, but entirely complementary. In my imagination, we go out, flirt shamelessly, explore our combustible chemistry, finish the Sunday puzzle, and fall hopelessly in love. We can also just single mature looking real sex horny wifes have a few cocktails and laugh about online dating. If you are honest with yourself and others, have integrity, and are truly compassionate, then I would like to get to know you. Other than that, surprise me! I love to have all expectations shattered now and then. Lastly - you're here because you know I'm out there. P.S.: If you can cook and are sexy, then forget everything I have just written, I am yours! OK, enough of this loquacious reading. Will you amuse me with a reply? Thanks for listening!
